Alcoy photographer Miguel Oriola presents his exhibition “Travesura”, featuring a curated selection of his work that offers an intimate look into the personal, experimental, and transgressive perspective of one of contemporary Spanish photography's most singular artists. The exhibition is open from 18 September to 18 October 2026 in the Sala de Exposiciones at the Museo de la Reconquista in Orihuela. The show offers a journey through Oriola's distinctive visual world, marked by experimentation, provocation, and an uninhibited approach to the photographic image. The human body, identity, sexuality, and the relationship between the individual and their surroundings are recurring themes across his career, challenging conventions and establishing new ways of seeing and understanding photography. Throughout his life, Oriola developed a deeply personal photographic style spanning the fine arts, fashion, and advertising. His work stood out for its innovative drive and exploration of visual boundaries, treating the image as a space for experimentation and a catalyst to provoke emotions, questions, and reflections in the viewer. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays from 10:00 to 14:00; Tuesday to Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00.
