Photographer and journalist Santi Carneri presents his exhibition “Carga máxima”, featuring the winning project of the 4th Photography Portfolio Contest at Fotomatón Festival. The exhibition is open from September 19 to October 18, 2026, in the auditorium hall of Centro Cultural La Lonja in Orihuela. Through photography, Carneri turns the elevator into the setting of an exploration focused on bodies, shared space, and the physical limits of a transit area. The title “Carga máxima” relates directly to the physical constraints of the setting, opening diverse interpretations of capacity, proximity, and coexistence. The project is an integral part of the career of Santi Carneri, a photojournalist specializing in documentary photography committed to social, environmental, and human rights issues. His work has appeared in international media including The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, Associated Press, and El País. Visiting hours: Tuesday to Sunday and holidays from 10:00 to 14:00, and Tuesday to Saturday from 16:00 to 19:00.
